Academic Achievement Goals

1. Literacy Growth (Grades K–6)
By May 2026, students in Kindergarten through 6th grade will demonstrate increased proficiency and growth in literacy.

  • Grades K–3: Growth will be measured using the Acadience Reading Screener.

  • Grades 4–6: Growth will be measured using the RISE Benchmark Assessments.

2. Multilingual Learner (ML) Progress
By May 2026, ML students will show increased proficiency in literacy and language development.

  • Literacy: Measured by the Acadience Reading Screener.

  • Language Development: Measured by growth targets on the WIDA Assessment.

Social-Emotional & Character Development

3. Cascade "ROAR" Traits & Resilience
By the end of the school year, all K–6 students at Cascade will demonstrate a better understanding of our Cascade "ROAR" character traits, leading to increased student resilience.

Strategic Use of Resources to Support Goals

  • Funding a portion of a specialty teacher salary to ensure full prep time aligned with school priorities

  • Classroom aides to support academic programs and instructional needs

  • Social and emotional learning (SEL) paras to enhance student well-being

  • Software purchases to support math and literacy instruction

  • A 5% Teacher Retention Plan to strengthen school culture

  • General materials and supplies for instruction

  • Teacher stipends for additional work outside contract hours

  • Professional development resources, including the purchase of behavior-related books for staff

  • Hiring a behavior aide to support student needs

  • Providing substitute teachers for professional development and data analysis time ("data dives")
